Malty aroma typical of an American brown ale. Clear brownish amber color with reddish hilites. A little white head that laces a mite. Has a smooth malty taste, again it’s a brown ale. Mouthfeel is medium, and creamier than most brown ales. There is a hint of some sort of spiciness, and there is a little hop at the end. Overall it’s a brown ale.

22oz bomber poured dark brown with frothy mocha head. The aroma is unfortunately too light and keeps this beer from being a top ten for me. I do smell hints of hops and some malt roastiness. But that took a bit of effort. The flavor has a wonderful mix of malts. I notice roasted malts, sweet molasses, caramel and beyond midway it becomes sweet chocolate malts and more caramel. Throughout there’s an assertive hop bitterness that continually tries to steal away the flavor from the malts. It seems to be mostly pine and possibly floral in nature. The bitterness does grow into the finish. A caramel and roasted maltiness meet at the finish and linger along with some hop bitterness. Yet another delicious brew from these fine brewers.

12oz bottle pours deep amber with tan head. The aroma is light and has hints of sweet malts and just a dab of hops. The flavor is full-on sweet and roasted maltiness. I taste caramelized malts, roasted malts and bits of coffee and burnt malts. Riding around the edges of the flavor is a tasty hop bitterness.

22oz bomber poured a nice clear copper color with a thin ring of off white foam. It has a malty, fruity and sweet aroma that is really a bit too light. Full flavor brew though with an up front sweet dark fruitiness and sweet malts. About midway hop bitterness takes hold of the flavor with pine and floral notes. Just beyond midway the pomegranate juiciness builds and just manages to outshine the hops and the malts at just the right intensity. At the finish each flavor note seems to be present in equal amounts making for a pleasing sensation. Very nice tasting brew.

12 oz bottle with some nice shtick on the label that poured copper with a couple dozen or so platelets of sediment floating around. There was a lasting tan head. This beer seems to have a Pale Ale type aroma with something sweet, something vaguely citrus, a bit of pale malts and pine hops. Nice flavor with some up front hops from the pine flavor variety that blends into a little bit of grapefruit then runs into bitter pine toward the finish. About at the midway point the malts show up with a roastiness and sweet caramelized malt notes.

22 oz bomber poured a very deep dark copper with half inch off white head that remained nickel thick to the end. Some nice lacing to boot. The aroma was sort of sweet syrupy smelling of caramelized malts, a bit of date fruitiness but mostly pine hops. I also find a slight alcohol note too. The flavor starts with pine hop bitterness that has streaks of sweet citrus running through it. The hop flavor and bitterness ride all the way through the flavor profile right to the lingering aftertaste. The hops at the beginning seem a bit sweeter than the hop bitterness infused finish. The thick mouth feel is buoyed up by caramelized maltiness that lurks in the background. Full flavored brew that embraces you with its warm and brutal nature. It’s a comfy cushy pillow of tongue crushing hops. As each ounce is consumed my taste buds really don’t adjust to the flavor assault. I’m getting the sensory stretching hoppiness right to the 22nd ounce.

Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear reddish brown, very brief head. Strong soapy perfumy hop aroma. fairly swee up front, boldly malty and full bodied. Salty with dense cookie malt character and a wealth of fruit and alcohol. Lingering salty bitterness. Potent and flavourful. Rather tasty, but perhaps not very refined.
