Draft at Pint Central. Dark brown color tan head. Aroma of vanilla bourbon and roast. Taste is sour bourbon, not pleasant.

Tasting at Matt’s
Dark color, near black. A lot of alcohol in the aroma, some caramel. Soft and bold mouthfeel, strong alcohol presence, some malt and caramel flavor. Not much going on here, just a lot of sweet booze.

Dark brown. There really isn’t much head. There’s a fairly boozy aroma, and this ends up being a boozy mess. There’s a lot of bitterness, some random, disjointed dark malts, alcohol in the finish, and I just can’t pick out anything to grab onto, so it ends up just being a cudgel on my palate.

22 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany / dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out alcohol, red fruits, and toasted caramel. Flavour is surprisingly uninteresting for something this heavy, with booze, liqueur, wood, and harsh astringency. There is some dark fruits and caramel underneath. Harsh, boozy and lacking much depth. Pretty lame.

Pours deep mahogany into a snifter. Mocha head quickly recedes to skim surface. Cocoa and cinnamon aromas. Medium bodied with sweet banana, caramel, pumpkin and ginger upfront turning to chocolate in the medium length finish. No sign of chili.

Bottle from Best Damn Beer Shop, San Diego. Almost black with a firm head. Sweet with malt, dried fruit, toffee, bread and some light hops. The body was full and the finish long. Not a bad one but sweet and heavy.

Bomber on 8th Feb 2017 while on holiday in California. What a load of bollocks on the label. Slight haze to the golden amber body, full head on both pours. Hop centric with a citrus leaning in both the aroma and taste. Semi-bitter and easy drinking beer, no where near as hop bitter as I expected to be honest.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright golden color with a huge foamy soapy orange-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was grassy and perfumey. The flavor was bready, grassy, perfumey and a touch nutty. Medium length finish. Medium body. Not good.
