Bottle. A- Grainy, corn, honey, slightly sweet. A- Yellow color, clear liquid, minimal white head. T- Slightly sweet, balanced, grain, honey. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, crisp finish. O- Kolsch is far from my favorite style but this one was alright. Would be nice for a hot summer day. Crisp, balanced, and refreshing. Not a flavor bomb but nice touches of honey and sweetness.

Bottle. A- Nutty, roasty, caramel, coffee. A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, minimal head. T- Nutty, caramel, roasty, smokey, coffee, cocoa. P- Medium body, average texture, medium carbonation, roasty finish. O- A solid brew all around. Not super rich or complex but solid. Almost a deeper version of their copper alt in terms of the hazelnut and caramel flavors and aromas.

Bottle. A- Berries, citrus, wheat. A- Orange color, clear liquid, white head. T- Citrus, berries, hops, wheat. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, crisp finish. O- Not a bad beer but certainly not great. The flavors are pretty mundane and don’t blend well. No bitterness up front or anything for that matter than then some bitterness on the finish. I thought I’d love this one and it was average at very best.

Enjoyed at gabf 2014. It pours with a nice copper body that has just the slightest haze to it and supports a tan head of foam. The aroma teases up some sweet malts, a bit of spicy oak and mild hoppiness that seems kind of pine like. Wow, the taste is smooth and luscious and sweet where I get slick sweet malts backed up by smooth soft sweet bourbon barrel notes. It then runs straight toward molasses sweetened pine hop bitterness where there’s a thin floral hop sensation floating around the edges. Terrific sipper with great balance of beer and barrel flavors as well as attaining a tasty soft smooth rich sweetness.

Draft @ brewery. Minimal hops aroma ... I was really surprised I couldn’t smell much in this one at all, because the flavor was there. Hazy amber with a large off-white head. Earthy cheesy hops, citrus, and biscuity malt flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation. This one was surprising/confusing for me. I’m familiar with the flavor of NZ hops, and I wasn’t really getting any of the usual tropical flavors associated with NZ.
