A copper colored beer with a huge orange head. The aroma is sweet and very floral, combined with light notes of dust. The flavor is sweet and quite dry with notes of malt, caramel, and nuts, leading to an extremely dry bitter spicy end combined with some citrus notes from the hops.

(Bottle 50 cl) Very pretty, clear amber with a dense, lasting head. Lovely fresh floral aroma. Rather light with some nutty notes. Not overly bitter - the hops add mostly aroma. Very classical bitter. 060601

(Bottle 50 cl) In my version simply called "Hook Norton Bitter". Pale caramel colour with a small head. Weak malty character and ditto bitterness. But very, very quaffable. A fairly ordinary Bitter. 210301

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear chestnut brown with a warm, reddish glow. Sweetish, malty aroma. Soft body, very distinct roasted malt flavours, vinous almost port-like. Lovely round and pleasant with a light, dry finish. An excellent choice for people who doesn’t like their Christmas beer too heavy. 111105
