Cask at Moon Under Water, Wolverhampton. Pours a reddish brown with a small off-white head. The aroma has autumn fruits and malts. In the mouth it has a creamy texture with a sweetness overlying a bitter base. Malts, biscuits and caramel in the flavour, with some fruitiness coming through later. Quite nice.

Cask-conditioned at the WG Grace (JDW), Bristol 29 October 2021. Pale gold in colour with a slight, off-white, head. Light citrus hops, some tangerine and apricot fruit character, rich tea malts leading to dryish finish. A very drinkable session beer and my favourite of this particular JDW festival.

Bottle online from The Natural Grocery Store. Pours a slightly hazy amber colour with a thinnish soapy looking white head. Aromas of biscuits with a hint of citrus and floral. Taste is a little fruity, with a fair amount of peppery spice, a little more citrus, biscuits and floral. An earthy hop bitterness on a dry finish. Thin to medium body with a fair amount of carbonation and slightly oily mouthfeel. Decent for the low abv but nothing special.

Cask at The Gordon Highlander. It pours reddish - amber with a thick, fluffy beige - white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, brown bread, digestive biscuit, toffee, fudge and rivita. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, toffee, caramel, digestive biscuits, brown bread, wood, twig, earth, dry grass and spice with a dry finish. Average body and fine, pillowy carbonation. Rounded and easy going.

Cask at Picture House, Stafford. Pours a golden yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Not much of an aroma – just some hints of oranges. In contrast the mouthfeel has an immediate crisp sharpness with floral hops and berry fruits plus traces of citrus. The hops gradually progress into the traditional variety, and the finish is dry and bitter. This is a very nice hop forward beer that doesn’t overdo it.

440ml can from Gloucester Services (going South): BBE June 2022. Drank at my parents on 9th September 2021. Pale golden body, clean and clear, white topping. Not much going on to be honest, light hops rule the nose and taste with a mini piney front, dry finish, a hint of orchard fruits if you dig deep enough.

440ml can from Gloucester Services (going South): BBE December 2021. Drank at my parents on 9th September 2021. Clear golden/amber body, thin white head that didn't hang around very long. Nice blend with a malty front to it's aroma and taste, hops give balance and some bitterness, but the malts are the more powerful ingredient.
