Pours a lightly hazed, golden-orange colour with a warm off-white, frothy-creamy head, lasting quite a while and leaving beautiful foamy lacing all-around. Full stone fruits in the nose with a blend of peach, apricot, then orange juice. The taste shows some fresh pink grapefruits with other citrus zest, and the stone fruits balancing things in the background. Wow! What a different brew, with so much fruitiness for a West Coast, you forget about the piney-grassy notes. Delicious!!

A very slight haze, amber colour with caramel highlights, a warm light-beige head, decent retention and nice creamy clouds of lace. A sweet nose, but no overly rich, with dark fruits, mostly raisins, some caramel malts blending with the Bourbon notes, and alcohol. Some hoppy grassiness as well in there, continuing in the taste - cutting the sweetness with drying end. You also get some oak in the flavours, giving a vanilla touch and more of the Bourbon sticking out. A pretty good, boozy, American Barleywine with the Bourbon barrel notes.

Hazelnuts and caramel barely perceptible in a very weak olfactory.
Coppery orange in colour tending to brown with a medium-sized foam that descends quite quickly.
Perfectly crystal clear.
Very slightly caramelized with a metallic background, discreet leafy and herbaceous hops and a malty ensemble without a really dominant flavor.
A rather spicy bitterness spreads to the back of the mouth and remains for quite a long time.
We feel the caramelized environment but without it really taking over.
A body that is a little lighter than average.
An IRA (not to be confused with Irish Republican Army) lacking dominant flavors.
A first beer that I find ordinary from this brewery.
One was needed!
Noisettes et caramel à peine perceptible dans un olfactif très faible.
De couleur orange cuivré tirant sur le brun avec une mousse de taille moyenne qui descend assez rapidement.
Parfaitement limpide.
Très légèrement caramélisée avec un fond métallique, des houblons feuillus et herbacés discrets et un ensemble malté sans saveur vraiment dominante.
Une amertume assez relevée se propage jusqu’en arrière-bouche et demeure assez longtemps.
On sent l’environnement caramélisé mais sans qu’il ne prenne vraiment le dessus.
Un corps un peu plus léger que moyen.
Une IRA (à ne pas confondre avec Irish Republican Army) en manque de saveurs dominantes.
Une première bière que je trouve ordinaire de cette brasserie.
Il en fallait une !

Passion fruit and grapefruit emerge from a strongly resinous aromatic component on a solid malty base.
Abundant and rocky foam on the orange-golden and very fuzzy liquid.
Citrus fruits with accents of grapefruit and lime accompanied by a mild resin at the beginning of the palate.
The notes of passion fruit are less obvious than in the olfactory but remain present.
Also perceived : orange, green grapes and cereals.
The bitterness is intense, long and bitter.
The cereal malts support the whole thing well.
Double West Coast featuring hops that are a bit peculiar but nice.
Quite appreciated!
Fruit de la passion et pamplemousse ressortent d’une composante aromatique fortement résineuse sur une solide base maltée.
Mousse abondante et rocailleuse sur le liquide doré orangé et très flou.
Agrumes aux accents de pamplemousse et de limette accompagnés d’une douce résine en début de bouche.
Les notes de fruit de la passion sont moins évidentes qu’en olfactif mais restent présentes.
Également perçues : orange, raisins verts et céréales.
L’amertume est intense, longue et âpre.
Les malts céréaliers supportent bien l’ensemble.
Double West Coast mettant en vedette des houblons un peu particuliers mais agréables.

Citrus fruits and white grapes with slight notes of resin make up a rather weak aroma.
Generous, dense and well-formed foam.
A hint of veil on a golden liquid.
Malted base and resin combine to support accents of green grapes, citrus, peach and orange.
The grassy and resinous notes are intense and converge in a long and intense bitterness that teases harshness.
Another excellent West Coast from the 5e Baron.
Agrumes et raisins blancs avec de légères notes de résine composent un olfactif de faible puissance.
Mousse généreuse, dense et bien formée.
Un soupçon de voile sur un liquide bien doré.
Base maltée et résine se combinent pour supporter des accents de raisins verts, d’agrumes, de pêche et d’orange.
Les notes herbeuses et résineuses sont intenses et convergent dans une amertume longue et intense qui taquine l’âpreté.
Une autre excellente West Coast du 5e Baron.

Aroma of chocolate notes with some strong floral coffee notes and boozy whisky notes. Taste is also a mix of chocolate notes with some strong floral coffee notes, light bitterness with some dry boozy whiskey notes and a semi-dry finish. Body is about average for style with good carbonation with discernible alcohol notes. Not bad but whiskey notes are a tad too prominent.

La lime s’insère dans un ensemble tropical sur une base de vin blanc pour donner un nez varié ralliant des notes de mangue et de goyave sur un fond de résine. De couleur jaune orangé le liquide est tout à fait opaque. La mousse est moyennement abondante et persistante. En bouche, les fruits tropicaux sont dominants mais gardent une bonne base de lime et de vin blanc. La base maltée mi-sucrée s’intègre bien à l’ensemble en y apportant une légère touche céréalière. A lightly hazed golden ipa with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity biscuit malt with resinous piney hops, grapefruit pulp, pleasant. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, cereals, grapefruit pulp, pleasant and classic. On tap at brewery.
