On tap at the Perimeter Taco Mac. Dark brown color, with a small, tan head. The aroma is vanilla, caramel, peat, and light smoke. The flavor is very sweet, with light earthiness. Medium body, smooth, and a little lively on the tongue. This is a nice, mild, and very approachable scotch ale. Well done.

Bottle, 11%. Peppery vanilla and coconut aroma, fried fruit and nuts... Studentenfutterbier? Cloudy red brown colour. Small tan head. The flavour is very sweet and nicely alcoholic. Has the same flavour notes as aroma notes, but the flavour is also citric. Not as flavourful as it could have been considering the ABV.

Bottle from Embrouille - thank you! Pours slightly hazy ruby / copper brown with small off-white head. Clear, sweet aroma of malt, caramel, raisins, nuts and alcohol. Sweet flavour of fruit, and caramel malt, raisins, and juniper berries. Bitter, boozy notes, rather pleasant. Bitter aftertaste. Nice.

Bottle from De Molen. Poured a clear dark brown with a round light tan head. The aroma is malt and creamy caramel. The flavour is medium bitter. Medium bodied, low carbonation and a creamy texture. Lots of toffee fudge on the slightly watery palate.

12 ounce bottle. Cloudy mahogany brown color topped by a finger high creamy tan head. Rich malty cocoa aroma. Sweet roasted malt flavor upfront with notes of milk chocolate, caramel and toasted nuts. There is an underlying spicy hop prescience that picks up in the mid taste and follows into the finish. Somewhat reminiscent of the classic Bavarian doppelbocks with that cloying chewy mouthfeel you expect of the style. Overall, a very tasty brew.
