The brewery was and is in the factory buildings behind it. The brewery became after WWI. rebuilt partly with recycled material. In addition to the traditional cooling machine from around 1920 and the stirring tank from around 1850, the company has been completely modernized. Bottle from Dranken Vandewoude and drunk at home. Dark dark brown beer. Thin beige head. Definitely a port fruity quad. Port gives red and dark fruit flavours. Big beer. Plenty of flavour and character. I liked it. Sweet. Lots of candy suger. Fine. I think I liked the whisky one better.

Bottle from Dranken Vandewoude and drunk at home. Was a clear brown orange colour before some sediment got in. Thin off white head. Some sweetness in mouth. It's not quite a quad. Something like a tripel. Some bitterness on the finish . Some booze presence. Pretty drinkable. Some barrel presence. Quite sweet. Fine.

Servida en cáliz, color marrón rojizo oscuro, casi opaca, espuma beige de corta retención. Aroma a malta tostada, galleta, ciruelas pasas, caramelo...
