Description

Bottle, 9%. Fruity and metallic aroma, old dark bread, salt, tar. Black colour. Seems clear. Big creamy stable light brown head. The flavour is sweet at first, but turns roasted and creamy. Good peppery alcohol presence. Roasted flavour with notes of tar and smoke. Creamy finish. Bubbly carbonation but fairly soft mouthfeel. Tastes a lot like a good Baltic porter to me.

Quite solid. Far from nada, in terms of quality. Pic: one of Medusa's braids

Good white head, bit irregular, over copperish golden beer, finely carbonated. White candi sugar, garden herbs, alcohol. Uber-sweet, almondy, alcohol-boozy. Banana, white candi sugar, raisins. Alcoholburn, medium slick, good carbonation. I'm convinced way too much sugar added, and not all seems fermented. Addition of some booze as jenever might explain this as well. Result: top-fermenting equivalent to malt liquor. Oh well, that might sound too severe, but all the same... Txs to Stef!

Süßer, hell malziger Beginn. Hefig, kräutrig, die starke Süße stört. Halbwegs süffig, hefig-kräutrig bleibend, klassisch belgisch. 9/5/6/5/5/6

Apparently a double mash stanneman blond, with 3% Jim beam bourbon blended in.
Pours a warm amberblonde. Small white head. Scent is bourbon, caramelized malt intensity. Taste is full, sweet, bourbon clearly there, but also some yeaststress, autolysis and loud, sticky phenols. Sweet, bit boozy finish. Soft, fairly thick mouthfeel and low carbo.
