Bottle from Etre Gourmet, bought in 2012. (BF Nov 2012) Black with a large, nice tan head. Roasted aroma of chocolate, licorice and some light "candy". Similar taste. A bit sweet and with a full body. The finish was bitter.

33 cl bottle, shared with my dad @ Café Frape, Maastricht. Almost clear blonde color. Big, dense white head with good retention, like whipped cream. Aroma’s of flowery hops, herbs, fruity. Retronasal it’s rather yeasty and hoppy and I even sense a bit of cork (?). Flavor is light sweet, fruity with a hint of bitterness. Medium bodied (fuller than expected from a 5.5% beer). Rather long finish, a bit ashy (? (again)) and eventually a good firm bitterness.

Draught wat Moeder SG. It pours clear deep amber/brown with a decent off-white head. The nose is sweet, doughy, fruit cake, dried fruits, candy, cereal and toasty grain. The taste is bitter-sweet, doughy, brown bread, muffin, musty, toasty brown sugar, candy, booze and wood with a pretty dry finish. Medium+ body, fine carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Not overly drinkable. OK.

Some fruity and citrus notes in aroma. Flavour has very roasted, almost burnt malts. Some coffee in the finish. Very full flavoured for only 4.5%.
