Description
The brewery started with the first brews in 1995 and brought the first beers to the market in 1999. The brewers work according to traditional brewing methods to produce distinctive beers from the noble raw materials of barley malt, hops, water and yeast. The quality of the products is guaranteed by modern equipment in constant evolution and systematic analyzes of every brew in the laboratories of the Abbey Notre Dame d'Orval.

Bottle #8 @ FOneFan. Black with medium beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee,wood and caramel. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, medium sweet, oak, cognac, little vinous and a little bitter.

Bottle @ Really late Summer Tasting Ulfborg, 2012. Bottle #8 /300. Pours nearly black with a creamy beige head. Nose is oak, cognac, dark fruit, vague roast and caramel. Flavor is wood, ashes, vague roast and caramel. Full bodied. Alcohol well hidden. Very enjoyable without being overly complex.

thx. to Sebletitje, I believe // 75 cl. bottle sampled @ RBBSG 2012 // lightly hazy orange, melon, smaller white head // light hops in the nose, yeast, esters, touch banana // taste is bitter melon, belgian yeast, lots of EU hops, bitter hops, lots floral, hay, grass, barnyard, bitter flora, ok but not that crazy // lighter body, easier carb.
