TAP- Dark black beer with a thin white colar. Very little malts in the aroma. The hops are very sharp, very german. Lighter bodied than expected.

Golden hazed beer with a bouquet of bananas and bubblegum. Very light bodied, with just some notes odf bananas and wheat, slight hops in the start but very mild ending.

Golden beer with ligh orange hues. Surprising floral aroma of hops and citrus. However, the hops finish seems almost harsh and jump too much at you at the first sip. A bit more malt would be in order to balance out the hops and agressive grapefruit. Maybe they are using extracts. Medium bodied. Still, very good for a Saranac.

2003 or 2004 bottle, not sure. Complements of Scott (austinpowers). Thank you so much. Pours much more dark and hazy than I would have thought. Very drab blackish-brown. After settling, it has a layered brown/amber/gold look to it, with some small off-white head. Aroma is big. Tons of caramel and butterscotch, very sweet. As it breathes, I can smell an ever so slight bit of fuggles work their way amongst the caramel. Begins very sweet, tons of caramel. I cant say it dosent remind me of the butterscotch dum-dums. As it sits out though, it eases off on the sweet intensity. Fuggles detectable and maybe a hint of EKGs on the finish. There is definitely a slight roasty edge there as well on the finish. But the showcase is obviously the caramel. Tastes chewy and gives it a good medium body. I would disagree with DaSilky, the finish is quite good, but the main body needs some variety. Very low carbonation is a plus. Good stuff, but I am spoiled by just having tasted a the Grand Ridge Moonshine, which seems to eclipse this beer.

An ok beer in it’s own right but it really does not hold up well compared to the better examples in the style. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer pours a thin black color with a small dark brown head. The aroma is faint but malty with a sharp sour undertone. The taste is hoppy with a subdued chocolate maltiness and a sour tang. . Tastes a bit thin. Lacks complexity. Sour on finish

An ok IPA but nothing special. +++ I Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer pours medium golden color with a medium sized tan head that lingers. There is a strong flowery scent. The flavor is moderately flowery and sharply bitter. There is very little balance. Pretty acidic tasting. The bitterness lingers on the aftertaste. Ok.

This poured brown with a thin off-white head. The aroma and flavor were largely defined by the strong presence of diacetyl which lent a buttery aspect to this beer which otherwise displayed some toasty malt character which bordered on a burnt tone. An odd beer. A stout? With diacetyl? Hmmm...

Wow- this is a pretty weak IPA. Poured clear light orange/amber with a thick off-white head, leaving a light grassy somewhat citric hops aroma in the glass. Flavor was very light sweet biscuity malt imparted with grassy, somewhat metallic hops and leaving a bitter aftertaste. So thin. So bland. So weak. So tame. So...this review.

Sampled from 12oz brown bottle this beer pours a dark golden color with a small head that dissipates quickly. Surprisingly pretty. There is a sweet malty aroma. There is a rich malty lager flavor with some sweetness. The aftertaste is a little bitter. Other than the aftertaste this is really a pretty decent beer. Decent.

Deep dark brown in colour, with a thick moka head. Caramel malt aroma. Nice nutty roasted malt taste with powdered cocoa and more intese nuttiness in post-taste. Downside, this beer is very thin.
