Orbit Beers grew from a passion for travel, music and beer. A journey around all the breweries in Scotland in a classic VW campervan named Brian sparked a desire to return to London and begin a new journey. We moved into our double railway arch in Walworth, South London and Orbit Beers was born. Our first beer was brewed on 1st July 2014 at our home here in SE17.

We value our independence. We are independent in the way we think about our beers, timeless styles brewed with an eye for balance and finesse. Our work is inspired by the ethos of our favourite independent record labels, who hold music and art above all else. We are Orbit Beers, we encourage you to listen, think, and drink independent.

Bottle from BottleDog, Edinburgh. Hazy golden body with a reluctant white head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of apricot and white sugar. Flavour of mushy pear, lemon and earth with a peppery hop finish. Medium body with a lightly texture. Soft fizz. A solid British IPA - I’d prefer if it was slightly less sweet.

Keg at Cask. It pours bright deep gold with a small white head. The aroma is toasted grain, buttered white bread, doughy and some creaminess. The taste is rich, bitter - sweet, toasted grain, buttered white bread, alcohol boost, cereal, grassy with a dry, bready finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Hides the alcohol pretty well action. Not bad.

Bottle. Hazy yellow with a thin head. Floral, bready aroma. Flavour is sharp and tangy. There’s a resinous, spicy quality to it. Ever so slightly oily in the mouth, but slightly fizzy with it. Aftertaste is airy and orange-y.

Reddish gold beer with a thick off-white head and a hearty, nutty aroma. Flavour is light and crisp, with sweet fruit, nut again and earthy malt. Sweet nutty aftertaste. Not the most distinct beer but rather tasty all the same.

On tap @Mad for Beer (Rome). Pours clear amber with a medium white head. Aroma of caramel, brown sugar, light smoke, delicate. Flavour is very well balanced and delicate, medium malt profile with a correct sweetness and a good bitter end with a smokey touch. Medium body, medium carbonation, easy and drinkable. Another good beer from this brewery.

Bottle picked up from the Red Squirrel Craft Beer shop/tap, Berkhamstead, Saturday 6th February 2016 Thick in the mouth, roasty, but not sweet roasty this is a tad ashy, a little smokey and also quite hoppy but not sweet, heavy or cloying. Some tart fruitiness engaging with the roasty elements, its good, really nice and good that it hasn’t gone down the big, slick, indulgent route, don’t get me wrong I like those types of beer as well but this is good for being a little different.
