Description
The brewery was set up at the end of 2004 in a beautiful farmhouse called “L’Olmaia” in Val D’Orcia, near Siena, Tuscany, initially as a small firm producing up to 300 litres per batch.
In 2009 it was relocated a few kilometers to the east in the area of Sant’Albino, near Montepulciano, where the products could be sold directly to the public. Throughout the year we produce 6 types of beer, plus some special seasonal beers, all of which are strictly unpasteurized, unfiltered and re-fermented, both in the keg and in the bottle. The production plant was built, according to our production needs, by the company Tefo of Parma, and it now has a production capacity of 2,500 litres per batch thanks to 4 cylindroconical fermentation tanks with a capacity of 2,500 litres and 2 with a capacity of 1,500 litres.
Inside the Brewery you can find the Tap Room with 6 beers on tap, cold cuts, cheeses and bottled beers.

0.33 l bottle from the brewery's shop, best before April 2019. A bit hazy, dark reddish brown with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, light beige head. Sweetish-malty, moderately yeasty-spicy and a bit fruity aroma of caramel, marzipan, raisins, plums and some brown sugar. Medium sweet, slightly bitter, malty, gently yeasty-spicy and a little fruity taste of caramel, licorice root, cinnamon, light chocolate, gingerbread and some plums, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly yeasty-spicy finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Decent beer, not as good as the Belgian classics though.

On tap @Buskers Pub (Rome). Dorata pallida, appena torbida, schiuma media. Al naso sentori erbacei, terrosi, malto, lieviti. In bocca è modesta, dolciastra all’attacco con finale amaro medio. Corpo medio, carbonazione medio-leggera. Non mi convince.
