Has okay modest head and well carbonated dark orange body. Aroma is good hops, peaches and tart pears. Flavour is sharp hoppy notes and good grain notes. Medium finish. It’s a good reliable IPA I gotta say.

Thanks, microakes! Has a bright amber colour, though not much head. Has a light maple nose, but on the palate it’s just a bit snappy, touch of maple, with a light crackery character. These are all fairly typical maple beer characteristics, but they are well-balanced and integrated with the base beer. Still sold not on maple beer conceptually though - those characteristics aren’t necessarily what I desire in a beer.

Bottle: Poured a hazy deep dark copper color ale with a large foamy head with good retention with some lacing. Aroma of barrel-aged notes with light vanilla and woody notes with some light dry caramelized malt. Taste is a nice mix between some vanilla and woody notes with some dry caramelized malt notes. Body si about average with good carbonation and light warming alcohol notes. The Baltic porter notes are dominant the BA ESB. The overall mix works better than I was expecting and the results is a nice nightcap style beer.

Bomber between four at the 25th Oct 2016 Shrewsbury Beer Share. One of a box Mat and I traded with Duffman. Cheers mate. Poured a misty amber, small off-white topping. Aroma was caramel first and foremost before the piney hops kicked in. The taste was also semi-sweet caramel with plenty of piney hops on top. My thoughts ran to marmalade at one point, so there must be some fruitiness in there somewhere too. I liked it.

Bomber @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Oct 16. From trade with Duffman. Many thanks! Pours a deep amber, small off-white head. Aroma is prominent caramel, pine and sweet malts. Taste continues with a big caramel malt presence and vibrant resinous hops. Not my preferred style of DIPA, a bit too malt-laden, but I can appreciate this.
