Poured for me by Cleetus at Fountainhead, in May. Zesty malt smell. A thin layer of tan foam on a schwartzer body. Aroma is guiding the taste, which is a dry stout more than a lager. Citrus hops, like everything these days, but malts become the main feature here. A nice dry finish topped with a bit of orange zest. Not exotic at all, just a very nice dessert beer.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed on a Wednesday early evening in close-to-mid October. Appearance is a cloudy bright gold with a noticeable carbonation and an off white head. Aroma is mostly floral with honey notes, definitely delicate, hints of spice. Taste has notes of honey, finishes dry, light spice, light peach, mostly dry. Not bad.

Bottle from the brewery. Served in a footed pilsner glass. It pours a light copper with a fluffy off-white and bready fruity NZ hop bouquet. A spritzy mouthfeel makes for a light refreshing body. The flavor is crisp light malts with fruity hop goodness. Light and approachable. I have tons of things I have say Maybe Next Summer to...

Crash landed pours a deep gold with a bubblegum juicy fruit aroma that has a bit of piney dankness. It has quite a nice light refreshing body that is soft and smooth on the palate. Along with Freebird the best I had at Begyle, great wheat body with a hoppy aroma.

Freebird has a fantastic hoppy floral/herbal hoppiness. It is a good looking clear gold with a very nice balance between bitterness & malts.A top quality APA and probably my favorite Begyle beer, I really loved the aroma.

Jean Jacket this 4.9% American Wheat Ale is a lightly cloudy gold with a rough wheaty fruity aroma. Quite a sharp mouthfeel for a wheat ale but light and refreshing. The taste is zesty, a bit lemony wheat not bad.

Sample at the brewery. Listed as an American Red Ale. It is a dark muddy red/brown with a thick foamy beige head. A nice hoppy aroma with a soft cocoa and bitter citrus flavor which makes for an interesting beer, a cool take on an amber ale.

Zeus is quite a pungent hoppy double IPA with a light copper body. Malty sweet at first with the hoppiness slowly kicking in from the back of your mouth to the front. Cool stuff.

Sample at the brewery this rhubarb saison at 6.1% is a clean saison with mild earthy rhubarb notes. This has a somewhat Gose like aroma but is a solid summer beer though not terribly exciting.

Comb the dessert is a black patent malt roasty dark beer. This dark black pour was quite a decent roasty schwarz that had a somewhat acrid bitter quality to it - alright.
