Can courtesy of trade. Darker in color than most IPA’s, cloudy with a large white head. Nose is of burnt toast and spicy hops. Taste is resin that goes right to the tip of the nose, not very well balanced with the bready malt underneath. Finish is hard and leaves an off taste at the back of the throat.

Pours a slightly dark brown and leaves the same colored body with a slim one finger white foamy head that dies within about a minute, some nice foamy lacing graces the sides of the glass in a clingy sort of fashion; the aroma is nutty, malty, slight caramel all combined nicely and coming forth strong and sweet; the flavoring is mainly nutty and sweet; slightly nutty/caramel malty aftertaste and a dry sort of nutty finish; its fairly easy on the palate for a Brown Ale but still packs a slightly heaviness to sit just right on a Winter’s night; overall, definitely would trade for this again

On tap at the Mellow Mushroom. Pours cloudy reddish-brown, with little to no head. The aroma is black cherries, toffee, molasses, ginger, and black bread. Very sweet from front to finish, with just a little bitterness that makes a token effort at balance. Heavy body, sticky, and lightly spicy. Overall, this is a heavy, malt-bomb of a beer. The yeast and complexity of a good Belgian beer don’t come through as well, but it is still a delicious beer.

On draft at Bonnaroo. Black pour with a creamy tan head. Slightly sweet with lots of smooth roasty malts. Very nice.

Tap at The Shed BBQ. I was slightly hungover but couldn’t pass up chance for Alabama tick. Pours orange with big white head. Nose of citrusy hops. Tastes of lemon, grass, bready, orange, earth, and some malt. Not too shabby
