440ml can, #219. Shared with Pål. (Tromsø, 30.12.2025)
Unclear deep golden/amber body under a tan head. Aroma of malt, herbs, juniper and kveik. Taste is sweet and malty with strong juniper/herbes, distinkt kveik and hint of dry fruits. Classic traditionel norwegian farmhouse beer, unusually, almost a bit unfinished in the start, then growing for me. Interesting and quite nice actually.

Can @ home. Unclear amber body under a lacing, tan head. Aroma is acidic with ripe, red berries and caramel malt. Taste is quite sweet but also quite acidic – ending up with a real sweet & sour experience here. Ripe red berries is quite dominating but the malt part, leaning towards caramel or toffee is rather evident as well. The kveik part is not particular pronounced for me, bit there is something else here that’s difficult to put my finger on. Alcohol is well hidden. Not sure about this, doesn’t feel like a fantastic beer, but sure original and unusually and seems to grow a bit on me during the finishing of the can.

Can, #186, twelve months before bbd. Pours hazy pale golden, with a big creamy head. Aroma is fruity yeast, with hay, juniper, floral kveik and farmhouse notes, as well as grassy minerals. Medium body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is tart yeasty notes of hay, farmhouse notes and juniper, as well as grainy minerals. Dry finish. Very quaffable.
