Bottle. Dark amber color, flat. Aroma is deep honey, a tiny bit of umeshu, some green stuff even, wood. Taste is dark fruits, forest, wood, medium sweet, good character there. Oily mouthfeel, flat. Good stuff, it's got a lot of character and apparently this is without any kind of spicing or fruits, untypical for Apis.

Random mead, surprisingly great. Smells a bit like freshly decomposing grass but tastes totally different. Uses chokeberries but it’s the sticky honey that shines. Dirt cheap at Woodman’s (Kenosha has a whole mead section).

Bottle. Clear pale golden body. Juniper and fermented honey, mild anise. Smooooth honeyish taste, more juniper than anise, love the mouthfeel myself. Another very nice Apis.

Bottle with the RateBeer München Tasting group at Hopdog, München, Thurs' 23rd July 2020. Pours clear gold, marvellous, simply marvellous, okay it's sweet but it's not cloyingly sweet, the spice is great. Fab', quite dry finish. Not sure who brought this one along but many thanks, it's amazing.

Bottle, light gold, clear. Minty anise sweet nose. Wow, nutty on the tongue, very balanced, not quite dry but close, really complex raisiny yeast notes. I want to get some!

Bottle. Pale copper. Honey and anise aroma. Medium body, mellow sweetness, good balance, Honey and spices, the latter taste a bit medicinal to me. Licorice, anise, juniper - a bit too spiced/perfumed for my taste.

Bottle. Clear golden color with no head. Aroma is honey, good honey actually, not too foresty, rather flowery, some anise spiciness and juniper there. Taste is the same, very balanced and subtle spice flavours there. Feinherb/lieblich, super drinkable, not too sweet. Very good for what it is!
