7/4/2024. Bottle shared by Colin, cheers! Pours almost clear dark copper amber with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is heavily peated, charred, woody, whiskey, toffee, rubbery edge. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Medium body, smooth, average to soft carbonation. Appreciated it more than I liked it.

Bottle at home, from Elston & Son online, 24/03/24. Golden copper with a white cap that remains as edgework. Nose is crisp apple, subtle smoke, caramel, orchard wood, tannins. Taste comprises caramelised apples, herb, tannins, orchard wood, smoked effect, subtle enough Islay. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close. Not bad ... I'm always dubious about Islay barrelled stuff but this is fairly subtle and doesn't take over too much.
