Cloudy amber color; compact head, lively bottle. Basic but quite nice hoppy aroma. Some malt, pretty strong hopping, strong flavor, some resins. Good example.

(Can 50 cl) 4.8% ABV in this version. Bronze coloured with a thick, creamy head - whipped cream style - from the widget’s nitrogen. Very soft and smooth mouthfeel with a flat feeling. Weakly caramelish with a marked bitter finish. Ideal for heavy consumption. 120102

Cask gravity at Notts BF 05. Slightly hazy but I had been waiting 3 days to get my hands on this, so I didn’t mind that it wasn’t quite ready yet. Hazy orange colour, no head. Good hoppy, fruity nose. Good citrus fruits and some sweet strawberry which carry on to a zesty finish. Grapes in the fruit mix as well. 500ml bottle from Morrisons in Margate as part of the UK Mass White Shield Tasting. http://www.ratebeer.com/forums/worthington-white-shield-uk-mass-tasting_185229.htm Pours a clear copper amber colour with a lasting persistant near beige head. Very little sediment in the bottle if any. Aroma is some yeast, some minerality and some hops. Some dusty earthiness. It’s surprisingly hoppy. You know what I still like this. It’s a grower. It’s a tasty hoppy beer. Mmmm, yes I really am liking this and the earthyness of the hops. Some toffee malts develop. Touch too carbonated. 7 48316 3.8/5.0

Cask at Black Lion, Appledore, Kent. Copper brown ale bitter. Piney hops on nose, ok in mouth, some good citrus acids and a bitter finish. Head dimishes by half way down a pint

Nice amber color, hazy; very nice creamy head. The aroma is a bit malty. The flavor is very smooth, but too simple, with some malt and residual sweetness. The palate is quite simple as well.

[Bottle conditioned] A hazy amber beer with a small off-white head. The aroma contains quite a bit of alchol, but also some hops. The flavor is powerful with strong notes of alcohol, caramel, and bitter hops. The end is quite bitter.

Original rating: 500 ml bottle conditioned, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. Amber colour, large to moderate white (or slightly off-white) head. Aroma of herbal hops, notes of toffee and dark berries, hints of oak and leather. The flavour is medium dry with a sufficient malty base, hints of nuts and toffee, followed by herbal and grapefruity hops, some resin. I am keeping the original score. 500 ml bottle, bought at Selfridge’s, London. This bottle conditioned "original" IPA has a slightly hazy deep golden colour and a fluffy head. The hops are what it’s all about in the aroma and flavour - lovely citrussy aroma with hints of oak and leather, flavour has a distinct resin-like bitterness with notes of grapefruit on a subdued background of dusty malty sweetness. Interesting beer.

Nice red copper ale with a thick nitro head. Thats where it stops. No discernible aroma. Rather bland and light malt taste with a tiny bit of nuts. A waste of 2.70 pounds. On tap at Heathrow,

Pale amber coloured, nice creamy head. Not smelling of much, only a bit "flowery". The taste is very light, but it is clean and a bit sweet. Even though my friends tell me this one is boring it is one of my favourites.
