Phoenix Brewery was registered in 1874, brewing directly from the Brewery tower and owning over 100 pubs in the local area. Phoenix’s history is still proudly displayed on our seven-story tower.
Building upon our strong foundations, we continue to brew Tony’s longstanding classic beers, whilst introducing innovative new brews. The team are looking forward to welcoming you to our Brewery site – soon to be open to the public for the first time in our history!
In 1996 it took the decision to trade as the name of the brewery Phoenix Brewery.

Fra cask på Pommelers Rest (JDW), Tower Bridge 18 Mai 11. Brun. Lavt skum. Forsiktig karamellaroma. Smaken litt fruktig med litt malt. Relativt kjedelig.

Superb bitter in the Pale Ale category. Smooth, refreshing and very tasty.

Cask @ Dysart Arms, Beeston. Healthy tasting ale with a pleasant bitter finish and some hints of fruit.

Light copper colour. Sweet aroma with candy and strawberries. Thick, lucious texture. Flavour has red fruits and syrup.

Cask at GBBF 2011, Day 3. Pours a clear gold with a small, white head. Pleasant aroma, lightly fruity and grassy. Crispy malt flavor with good sweetness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Faintly spicy in the finish. Overall a solid, easy drinker.

Cask @ 3 Judges. Clear golden colour, white ehad. Nose is slightly hoppy, a bit malty. Flavour is light malted, citric hops. Fairly bitter finish.

Light copper colour. Floral hop aroma. Some fruity sweetness, a touch of apple. Quite an intense level of hops. Nicely dry.

Cask @ 3 Judges. Clear goldne colour, off-white head. Nose iscitric, light malted. Flavour is malty, citrus, slightly flowery, bit of rubber. Slightly bitter finish. The last bit of the cask.

Cask@GBBF2011. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, wooden, mild floral and resiny notes. Flavour is caramel malts, some wood, mild burnt wood, some earth and herbs as well. Pleasantly bitter finish, but gets a bit ruined by a rather metallicness in the aftertaste.
