Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours near black with small beige head with nice lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, dusty chocolate, fruity plum. Taste follows the same path - roasty, cocoa dusting, fruity plum but a well balanced adjunct addition, a light grassy and spicy hop. Medium bodied, semi-drying. Good stuff. [#3635 Rate / #32 Cambridgeshire / #10/50 beers with most rates in region (#32)]

Bottle from Beers of Europe, online. Pours a dark clear gold, small white head, modest retention. Aroma of pale malts, an odd rhubarb and custard note, floral with light spice. Interesting. Taste also has a fruity rhubarb note with a biscuit malt base, a bit over filtered and tinny in the middle but some nice floral and spice notes in the finish with a moderate bitterness. Light bodied but fairly smooth with a high lager like carbonation. Mixed but on balance I quite like it.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a clear dark amber, small off-white head Aroma of malts and sour funky fruit including apples and citrus. Taste of moderately sweet and sour fruits, yeast, caramel. Medium bodied. Quite a malty sour beer but it works, there is a nice balance to this.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a dark brown with small off-white head with ok retention. Aroma of sweet caramel malts, brown sugar, chocolate, raisins, blackcurrant. Very pleasant. Taste has a dry roastiness to the malts, cola, light chocolate, raisins, nice berry fruity tang Good smooth body for the strength, fine carbonation. Very nice. I wish more breweries did a mild, its a great style if you're in the mood for a lighter beer. I've had my fill of Session IPAs.

Creamy off white head on a copper coloured body. Malt, caramel, toffee & woody tastes with a bitterly hopped finish. A bit harsh.

Keg at the central market square booth that is Sir Toby's in Norwich. Light hazed purple with a pink head. Stated cherry in both aroma and taste elevates its depth, tasty and slightly sweet too. Very Belgian in style.

Solid flavoursome number.

Hand-pulled pint in The Catherine Wheel (Henley on Thames), 3rd December 2024. Clear, but slightly grubby look; amber/copper in colour, white head that stayed a while. Mini-spiced nose and initial taste, malty and earthy, some berry like flavours too. It's too watery though, it has no body depth for a traditional Christmas beer.
