Growler thanks to someone at Stone’s Sourfest. Pours with a hazed brown body and a tan head. Aroma is hoppy, herbal, citrus and pine. Taste is very hoppy with citrus and herbal notes. Dry finish.

courtesy of tpd975 for the share. hazy golden pour aroma and flavors, lots of good pine hops, grainy and malty, overall, profile keeps a mild spicy hop mouthfeel with a good malty balance balancing most of the hop bitterness. Pretty straightforward but it works, a solid IPA.

Courtesy of Blazer06. Pours copper with thin light tan head. The aroma is crisp fresh spicy to grapefruit to pine hops with subtle malt sweetness going on in the background. The taste is similar with crisp to mildly potent spicy to pine to grapefruit to orange peel like hoppiness. It slowly becomes more and more bitter but overall only reaching a moderate level of hop bitterness.

Bottle shared by someone at the 2010 Summer Solstice, but I cannot remember who. Poured an orange gold with a white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma had a nice combination of both citrus and pine with a bit of underlying sweet grains. Flavor began with citrus and hay, but pine grew to become the main note in the finish.

Bottle 22fl.oz.Light unclear medium orange color with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, light heavy hoppy, dark citrus. Flavor is light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, citrus, light peel bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100608]

Bottle at Maltzillas World Cup 2010 tasting. Pours black with tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee and chocolate with a hint of smoke. Flavors of roasted malts, mocha and a slight amount of smoke and bitterness. Medium to ful body with soft carbonation.

Bottle at Pilsner Pete’s RBSG. Pours black. No surprise there. Nose is mocha and coffee beans. Taste is slightly bitter, vanilla bean, coffee and roasted malts.

The bottle looks really good, as well as the beer in the glass. Deep black, small creamy head. Starts malty-dry, modest bitter, roasty, notes of bitter chocolate. Turns milder, a bit sweeter, modest smoky. Velvet-soft finish, well balanced, sticky. Very drinkable and good Imperial Stout!
