Growler pour courtesy of kiefdog. It pours slightly hazy copper with off white head. It has a pleasing nose of pine and citrus backed up by sweet malts as well as some spicy hops. Overall it emits a modest amount of bitter hop aroma. The taste is smooth yet feels thin for the style ushering in notes of grapefruit, pineapple, pine and spicy hops. It seems to begin with semi sweet hop flavor sweetened up by a thin layer of malt sweetness and then building to moderate levels of hop bitterness as the finishes nears. It ends with fading hop notes that dwindle down pretty quickly.

growler shared at CCB. Holy yeast floaters in this growler but the beer remained delicious. pours cloudy golden/orange, white head, loads of sediments aroma is loaded with hops, citrus grapefruit, lots of fresh hops, light malt and caramel. Flavors, holy tastyness, haven’t been that impressed by DIPA since Alpine’s Exponential Hoppiness. Bitterness is subdued and not overpowering, yet finely crafted into this beer leaving a perfect balance with the caramel and malts. Tons of tropical fruits; from grapefruit to pineapple, peach, palate similar to NZ hops? Only downside is the whole sediments in the growler adding a mild overly yeasty mouthfeel. Treacherous, doesn’t drink like 9.5%, but damn this is outstanding.

bottle pours hazy light yellow with a medium white head. Soft floral nose, pale grassy malts. Wonderful grassy flavor with clean floral and herbal hop finish. Seems I like this more than most.

Bottled. A black beer with a brown shine under a thin brown head. The aroma has strong notes of roasted malt as well as some notes of soy sauce. The flavor is sweet malty combined with notes of roasted malt and a bit of alcohol, leading to a dry and roasted finish.
