Bottle. Cloudy amber colour, big offwhite head. Aroma floral hops. Taste initially medium bitter, very light sweet. Towards the finish indeed dry, light heavy floral hoppy bitter. Good one.

Specifieke smaak van de orvalgist en hoppig aroma. Bittere nadronk. Romige schuimkraag #rerate gent dit keer een zeer jonge orval, deze is zeer kruidig/peperig

330ml bottle. Hazy, dark orangey golden colour with huge, firm, frothy, moderately lacing, off-white head. Sweet, caramel malty aroma, minimally spicy and herbal, fruity hints. Taste is dry and slightly sourish, grassy, herbal. Has almost no resemblance to the other Trappist Ales, is by far the worst of them all in taste, hence absolutely overrated in my opinion. Try to understand the enthusiasm about it for over 20 years now but still can’t take part - it simply doesn’t match my taste.

bottled 9/12/2010 drank 31/8/2012 pours darkly amber, smells unexpectedly chemicaly-kind of sweetness, . tastes quite the same , sweet ( caramel, candi, sugar ) definetly better than other trappists ( witch im not the greatest fan of ) but not shocking. drinkable and more complex than the average. downside is that the cap looks realy , realy filthy ! the inside is covered with a very thick layer of brown sticky stuff, and so is the bottle ...

0.33l bottle. Orange body, nice beige head. Bready, grassy, caramelly aroma. Very intense taste with caramel and a lot of grassy hops. There is some yeastyness as well. Awesome beer.

Easier going than most of the other trappists, lighter aftertaste and body. Quite good.

330 ml Orval bottle. Pours orange with a medium head of large bubbles. Aromas of bread, leather, citrus, and cloves. Distinctive grassy/yeasty flavor with cereal and champagne notes. Lots of carbonation and very dry finish.

A - Beautiful bright orange. Dark Carmel look. 2 singer dark white head. Nice creamy bubbles. Incredible head Lacing

S - rich caramel. French oak. Almonds. Light cheese and a barnyard horse smell

T - Whoa. This is no normal Orval. Incredible discreet bitterness. Like a very dry champagne taste. Grape skins. Minor bit of grapefruit hop character. White wine and dried raisins.

M - 100% carbonation. Incredible dry fleeting finish. Hoppy bitter finish

O – I’ve never enjoyed fresh Orval. With only one year on it, the taste is incredible. One of the best Trappist beers I’ve had. Delicious. 4.5/5.
