On tap at Proeflokaal Arendsnest, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out big resinous hops, a little pine, some stone fruits, and caramel bready malt. Flavour is more of the same, with a big wallop of resinous hops, and just enough caramel malt to back. Very expertly balanced, even if a bit more on the malty side for my tastes. Excellent.

Fairly hazy pink red with a pink head. Aroma of strawberry, malt, grain and light yeast. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with above light carbonation.

0.33 l can from 'Het Biermoment', best before September 2022. Slightly hazy, ruby with a thin, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity-resiny aroma of strawberry jam, pine, mulled wine and some caramel. Gently sweet, malty, slightly bitter, quite fruity and rather resiny taste of strawberry jam, pine, caramel and some alcohol, followed by a medium long, quite bitter, fairly resiny and slightly boozy finish. Full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant Barley Wine, definitely resembles a stronger variant of 'Arrogant Bastard'.
