Muddy dark red-brown beer under a huge brownish-greige head, very stable and leaving lace. Roasted, chocolate and moccha in the nose, not very expressive. Stout acidity, roasted & burnt. Quite a hint at maltsweetness in the background; black & sweet chocolate, caramel. Very slick, oozy, despite good carbonation. Alcoholheat, well bodied. I’m nonplussed by the "crème brulée" moniker on the blurb. Having had both the Emelisse as the Southern Tier, those were truly bottled crème brulée in flavour; this is much more stoutish.

(Draught at Craft & Draft, Amsterdam, 19 Feb 2016) Black colour with dense, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, nuts and coffee. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, coffee, cacao, roasted nuts and a balanced cacao bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well made with a generous dose of roasted nuts. Nice one.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 17 Feb 2016) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head, leaving traces of lacing. Malty, hoppy nose with caramel, orange marmalade, citrus, orange peel and resin. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of caramel, orange peel, marmalade, grapefruit, resin and a generous citric bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Really well made DIPA with a solid malt foundation to back up an impressive hop presence. Very nice.

Bottle acquired from trade with Douberd. Many thanks! Pours black with very creamy tan head. Huge vanilla aroma with burnt sugar and light roast. Quite sweet flavor with vanilla, burnt sugar, light liquorice, milk chocolate. Resembles a creme brulee quite a lot. Really nice to try and a cool beer in regards of taste and smell.

Tap @ Beer Temple, sample, shared with Benzai & MarcodL. Slightly hazy orange color. Off white head. Aroma’s of citrus and tropical fruit. Citrus and bitterness retronasal, less tropical. Flavor is extremely bitter, even a bit too much for my liking. Medium bodied. Long, very bitter finish. Ruination is mild compared to this...

Draft @ beertemple. Aroma of strong hops, raisinous caramel and candi. Smooth taste of hops, pine, caramel, little spice and some candisugar-ish stuff. Good.

Sampled from draught @ Beer Temple. Lightly unclear orange color, medium sized white to off-white head. Aroma is nice fresh hops, lightly malts, lightly fruity and a bit grassy. Taste lightly malts, hops, again slightly fruity and slightly grassy but also light metallic hints. Decent body and carbonation.

On tap at Craft & Draft. Pours a clear orange, with a tall head with good retention. Dank smell, with notes of pine, citrus and overripe mango. Crisp and refreshing, with notes of caramel, lemons, a bit of pine and a very thin layer of lambic sourness.
