Pale purple of butterfly pea, mouthfeel of lactose. A touch of blackberry/ tayberry on the nose. I think there’s vanilla as well. Cherry. They asked if I had allergies, but that was probably a feint unless they were referring to lactose. Anyway, it wasn't that good. Too much vanilla.

Bright pale pink, hazy, lots of raspberry flavouring, a bit jammy but blends into the base well. Not a direction I favour because it reduces the complexity of the original but it’s fine.

Pale and hazy. Soft brett, a light barrel accent. It’s more rounded than the original. Good complexity.

Pale, hazy. They all look identical. Thin head. Cucumber mainly not so much mint. It just sits overtop of the regular, but mutes it a bit. Sort of incongruous.

Hazy pale. The apricot isn’t obviously dries but it does give a bright fruity boost to this.

Pale and hazy. Jalapeño is evident, lime maybe, tequila or at least some tequila barrel usage here. Good balance and decently made for a not good concept.

473 ml can. Pours an opaque white/yellow with light head. Aromas of pithy lemons, melons, weed, dull pine, and wheaty malts. Flavors are awful: soap, dirt, bitter lemon, bitter wheat, dry melons and dirty weed. Way off balance. Just bad. Not sure what the point is. Did anyone at the brewery sample this, or just sniff it? Drain pour.

473 ml can. Pours a very dark brown with full bubbly tan head. Aromas of soft roasted malts, chocolate, and cola. Flavors of nutty chocolate and roasted malts with a bit of sugar. A sweet but nice, modern Baltic Porter.

The base witicism, pours with a slight haze. Medium body, touch fruity, mild citrus notes. It’s okay, a bit sticky compared with the exemplars of the style.

Dark brown, with a thin bubbly head. The aroma is a bit of low grade bourbon, some vague chocolate. On the palate, some toffee notes, light caramel, vague vanilla, some hints of barrel, but again it's low grade stuff. I like this beer, but I always feel they leave something on the table not going for a richer malt character.
