Description
Four Winds joined the burgeoning BC craft beer scene and opened their doors to a public thirsty for new local offerings on June 1, 2013. Owned, operated and built from the ground up by the Mills family and friends, we are inspired by the Four Winds in gathering flavours from around the world to create our unique West Coast and European styles. We take great pleasure in the application of new world innovations while staying true to old world techniques. Motivated by the limitless potential of beer, as well as the great brewers who came before us, we aim to craft bold beers with character, depth, and balance.

473ml can. Pours a clear gold with a medium, frothy, long lasting, white head that leaves thick, sticky curtains of soapy lace. Mild aroma of crackery pale malt, lemon and grassy hops. Sweet flavour of biscuity pale malt, grapefruit, grass and piney hops in a crisp, dry, bitter finish. Light body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Quite possibly the dankest Pilsner I’ve ever had. Drinks like an APA.

Opaque old gold color with an evergreen and grapefruit aroma. Taste Zia a great combination of mild acidity and citrusy hop bitterness. Tropical fruit sweet and tart flavor at the end. Light body, easy to drink.

Dark brown, thin head. Nice chocolate impy and big vermouth. Light body, boozy bourbon, so definitely Boreas base, with the vermouth cutting over top.

On tap at Farmhouse Fest 2025, pours a cloudy yellow with a medium white head. Aroma still smells like yogurty notes, a touch of bugs, and light stone fruitiness. Flavour is much the same, with plenty of yogurty lacto, a touch of wild yeast, and jammy stone fruits. Still too yogurty. Not great.

On tap at Farmhouse Fest 2025, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma has some wild yeast, floral notes, and a touch of funk. Flavour is soft, with floral notes, a touch of funk, and a touch of citrusy. Not as good as it smells—alright, a bit too timid.

Poured from 473mL can (pkg 24/06/2025). Hazy blonde with small white head. Tons of lemon, feint weedy dankness, very botanical. Bit of a novelty, but don’t mind it.

On tap at The Magnet. Pours clear gold with a white head. Bright pine and crisp dry grass on the nose. Flavour has woody pine, dry grass, crisp cracker malts. Crisp and drinkable, really nice use of WC hops in a pilsner.
