Pale blond colour with thin head. Has some floral notes and is a little fruity hop. Not bad.

Robijnrood bier met mooie schuim kraag. Smaak is warm zoet en licht kruidig met iets van karamel, wat kruidnagel, anijs en chocolade. Voor mij een top bier.

Very fruity on the nose and a nice clean beer with some bitterness and oxidized hops

Bottle from Geers. Clear golden, stable, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of pear, apple peel, straw, cheese, jasmin, flowers, tea leaves, melon. Taste has sweetish pear, apple & melon, perfumey-flowery over honey-bready malt, bit sour. Grassy hoppy finish, straw, yellow fruit & perfume again. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Classic Belgian Ale with a perfumey twist.

Good, dense, light-yellowish head, fed by fine & lively carbonation in pale copper, clear beer. Sharpish, intense "hot" malts' nose, typically "beery", as entering a pub in full swing, malts and (EU) hops. Again a rather sharp, almost aggressive toasted malts' flavour. Green & dried leaves, the use of sugar addition is also obvious. Finish has a long-lasting hopbitterness, and after some time, a dry spicy tang. Fiery MF, enhanced by the lively carbonation. Gristslickness, even a bit oily feel. Medium bodied. Unable to determind the input from the flax. Wasn't even aware it were comestible somehow, and I was always taught putting flax into water stinks to high heaven. In the end, this is a rather very classical amber-blonde Belgian style.

At 10% abv I would call this Belgian brew a quadrupel. But that is just me. In my possession is a 33 cl bottle of Winter 10 that is ready to go into my Delirium snifter. Nice in appearance, I determine a mahogany body finished with a slender but consistent mauve tan head. The scent follows, dark fruit predominantly, a bit of a vinous effect, yeast and chocolate. I have a taste, oh, this is good, figs, dark chocolate, grain, malt, cane syrup and candi sugar. A bit of bitterness completing. High level, I am enjoying this but then I do like my Belgians.
