Clementine, pineapple, mango. Smells very Citra-like. But there's a bit more mineral and slight white grape/wine. Not too much gummy fruit (what I've previously associated NZ Cascade with). Juicy, very fruity, with big white bread sweetness from the malt.
Nice and zesty to start, though lots of sweet malt begins to creep in. Spice and mineral with light white grape and lots of easygoing tropical fruit. Ends with a lot of white bread-like malt, juicy citrus and tropical fruit. Pushing it a bit on the juicy, sweet, low bitterness aspect (as most NEIPAs are), but still quite drinkable.

Big stone fruit and white wine. Lots of mineral, lots of white bread and honey with some citrus on the end. Fruity ester, round and juicy. Very prototypical NEIPA.
Juicy, fruity, round and soft with decent bitterness. Some mineral and light sulfur with juicy citrus and moderate white wine. Very straightforward stuff with, perhaps, a bit too much malt for its own good. Lots of honey, white bread and such. Hops could use more acidity for a beer of this size.

75cl bottle pours a orange, light haze, fluffy white head. Good nose, apricot and lemons and neutral wood and natural wine. Flavor is medium high acid, all the stone fruits, wood, bit of white wine vinegar. Medium full, dry, high acid. Really nicely made.

16oz can of lemony pulp. Very little head. Minty nose, wet grass, big grapefruit, perfume and sweet herbs. Wheat lurking. Flavor has more the stone fruits but it's really grassy and minty and green. Chewy, wheaty finish with a pinch of sugar that only comes on late. Yellow cake almost pops in at the final moment.

Poured into a snifter.
Appearance: very dark brown to very close to being pure black with no head and no lace but I wonder if the barrel aging may have persuaded lack of head & lace, hmmm, I'm not worried
Aroma: thick sweet smooth, sticky caramel & toffee scents with tons of dark fruits and vanilla notes - no barrel spice? Hmmm, well, I'm not arguing but an ever so slight note of sweet leathery character after more warmth I did notice some honey (not sure where that came from but I smelled it a couple times after)
Flavor: leads with the caramel & toffee sweet tones while pushing back the vanilla and dark fruity tones; finishes slightly sticky with caramel & dark fruity notes
Texture: medium to full bodied; great sipper! Pure bliss for the smoothness factor! Don't think I ever had a smoother barleywine than this. And carb seemed good too
Overall: what an English barleywine! Absolutely one I would return to!

Panda thanks to Wingman. A mild to medium haze on this gold beer, small and very short lived bubbly pale cream colour head. Airy palate, fairly dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth light malts, a light and fairly dry creamy sweetness. Manilita delivers resinous red grapefruit and a soft pine. Tiny bit of black pepper. Airy dry finish. Nice single hop dipa but a tad over dry for my palate.
