Bottle from Jacks, Westholme Stores, Goring-on-Thames, Oxon. Consumed at home Sunday 26th October 2014. Dark in colour with bubbly head, light beige in colour. Fresh slight yeasty aroma, its actually very pleasant. The taste is a little hoppy, yeasty and a bit thin, fine, but thin. It’s ok, nice aroma, but where did the flavour go? . A7 A4 T6 P3 Ov13 3.3

Cask at Craft 100 2014. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The nose is sweet, earthy, syrupy, grainy, caramel and brown bread. The taste is bitter, earthy, wood, leather, pepper, light caramel and varnish with a dry finish. Medium body, low carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Not bad for Brains, sort of a Imperial ESB!
