Sampled @ GBBF. Clear orange golden color, small white head. Smell and taste malts, pretty smoky but still quite balanced so it doesn’t taste offensive, lightly bitter. A pretty good smoke beer imo.

Cask - Boozy and medicinal, gin I presume? Clear dark gold with no head. Herbs, medicine and barrel notes. Gin and beer don’t mix well.

Cask at GBBF 2014. Light gold. Clear. Very little head. Buttery aroma with elderflower and slight hint of clove. Some of the sweetness shines through in the taste and lifts the beer above the acrid bitterness I was expecting in the aroma. Actually it taste pretty good. Body is weak and fairly oily. Not great overall, really just tastes like another golden beer, or maybe a mediocre attempt at a Kölsch.

Cask at the 2014 GBBF. Orang light amber coloured pour with a halo of white head. Aroma is berry and light hop with some caramel. Flavour is biscuity caramel malt with pine and varnish. Sticky on the tongue. Decent. Some harsh bitterness.

Cask - Piny malts and light roast. Jet brown black with a thin beige head. Piney hops with the roast and bitterness to follow. Pretty decent.

Cask - Lightly smoked malts, more on the Bacony side, but you can smell the grains quite well. Clear orange gold with no head. Lightly smoked grains and malted hops. Very different as the smoke adds to the complexity rather than dominates and overwhelms.

Cask at the 2014 GBBF. Opaque dark caramel coloured pour with a thin whispy cream head. Aroma is nice and berry pine hop. Flavour is nice balance of caramel, nutty malts and pine and slight citrus hops. Decent black IPA. Palate is light moderately carbonated.
