Description
Mission Brewery was originally established in 1913, but like most breweries of the time, it went out of business during the first year of Prohibition. In 2007, Dan Selis, an avid homebrewer, re-established the brand and has built it into one of the top craft breweries in San Diego County.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks zvikar. Black with a light brown head. Roasty aroma, a bit burnt, with coffee beans and dark chocolate. Roasty burnt flavor with coffee and a bitter finish, roasty, hoppy, a bit herbal. Rather full-bodied, kinda silky.

Bottle from Bine and Vine. Pours hazy ruddy copper with a creamy light tan head. Nose has roast malt and grapefruit rind. Near full bodied. Flavor is nicely roasty/toasty malt with a large amount of grapefruit rind. Develops a mild hop burn rather quickly. Yeah for hoppy!
