Bottle shared during the first Late Nite session of RBWG 2015. Pours somewhat murky amber with a slight, tan cream head. The aroma has a wintery spice mix along with licorice. Medium sweet flavor, lots of sugary toasted wheat bread, winter spices, black licorice. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, a little yeast, certainly spicy. Tasty enough.

750ml, capped bottle. Poured a dark amber color, some light tan head, medium, some foam. Aroma was lots of dried fruits, sweet malts, lots of holiday notes in this one. Aroma was light ginger, some cinnamon, allspice. Dried fruits. Interesting. Certainly worked on a cold winter night.

Bottle 859 of 2500. Thanks Adam! Aroma is rich and moderately chocolate forward with some light roast notes. Medium light bourbon and light oak. Hints of ash and moderate leather with some medium light notes of dark fruit. Pours black with a thick, light mocha head with decent retention as it recedes to a thin film that lingers in the center of the glass. Light lacing and moderate legs. Flavor is fairly sweet with some moderate roast notes as well as moderate dark fruit. Some light ash notes and medium light chocolate. Moderate bitterness with a vinous finish. Light bourbon and faint oak. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Medium low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright beer and the aroma is pretty nice. The flavor is weird though. Its very sweet with a lot of vinous, fruity character in the finish with a lingering astringency.

Pecan and dark chocolate aroma, but not very strong. Mahogany, huge tan head. Walnut and cola flavor with significant astringency. Harsh mouthfeel. Not a great deal of complexity and overcarbonation makes it difficult to enjoy.
