Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - pale yellow and clear. White head. Nose - sweetcorn, green beans going into mushy peas. Bready backdrop. Taste - quite different from the nose, lemon and caramel. Palate - light bodied, initial sweetness through the middle which dries out in the finish. Overall - quite pleasant.

Can, gift from Shona. Clear deep golden body with a few flecks floating beneath a thin off-white head. Steady carbonation. Good lacing. Aromas of marmalade and pine. Flavour of orange and peach. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Tangy and tasty. This can is nearing its best before date and it’s still holding up well. Cool can design.

Can, gift from Shona. Golden body with a light haze and a white head that holds well. Lively carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of green beans and corn flakes. Flavour of grass, lemon and a crisp, bitter finish. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. Light fizz. Clean and tasty. Very nice.

330ml bottle bought from the Offie, Leicester and drunk at home. Medium to dark brown - cola brown really. Slight translucency with a swirl of beige head. Dark malts, liquorice, slight nutty notes, fresh caramel in the aroma. Taste is sweet with lots of liquorice root, turning to a chalky bitterness at the end. Medicinal herbs in the finish. Light body for the ABV, carbonation kept to the low side. Impressive.
