(Keg at Woolshed, 20170331) The beer poured amber and nearly cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had sweetness, caramel and toffee. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, vegetables, grass, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. An unclean sweet brew.

(Cask at Lyric, Soho, London, 28 Nov 2016) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, nutty, slightly roasted nose with caramel, dark bread and red fruit. Malty, nutty taste with notes of caramel, dried fruit, bread and earthy hops in a finish with balanced bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Well balanced, with rounded malt character and a generous hop presence. Nice one.

Bottle from Village Vintners, Pyrford. Fruity - lemon and pineapple - with hay/resin. Bright gold. Hazy. Lively and bright white head. Sour lemon tang, with peaches and other soft fruits. A hint of hops? Medium bodied. Oily. Lively carbonation, as indicated by the head. Long juicy finish. Had it a while back and this second time around it didn’t disappoint. Lovely refreshing beer.

Handpull cask from the Crown & Shuttle, Shoreditch. Golden, almost straw. A tiny bit of white head on top. Bit of grapefruit, pear, white wine and apple skin on the aroma. Taste is pretty thin unfortunately, mildly but noncomittally bitter and a trifle soapy. It’s fairly average and isn’t helped by the fact that it’s served on the warm side... not the beer’s fault but it doesn’t do it any favours.

Keg at the Furnace Inn; clear golden amber pour with a thin off white head, aroma has a hint of floral action, taste has a hint of sour, some tinny action, hint of peach.

Draught @ Woolshed, Helsinki. Slightly stingy and earthy pale ale with loads of berries, hints of hops and mild tartness. Feels a bit off.
