Our 63-foot bar serves as the centerpiece of the brewpub where we showcase up to ten standard, house-brewed draught beers on tap as well as a rotating selection of seasonal brews in German, English, Belgian and American styles. Had this last night on draft - oh yeah, #2500 on RB. Poured a slightly cloudy, rich amber color, with a small off-white head. Aroma was sweet malts, touch of spices, light fruits and a touch of alcohol. Flavor was light sweet notes, fruit, spice. Slight alcohol notes, but is pretty darn smooth. Really enjoyed this one.

On tap at Lupulin Reunion 2012 at RFD. Pours a translucent, nearly opaque mahogany brown with some beige head. Great nose, chocolate, malty, malt balls, caramel, coconut, vanilla. Big sweet flavor, chocolate, vanilla, coconut, whiskey. Soothing alcohol on a warming finish. Lightly sweet at the end too. High class.

Cask at Mad Fox. Poured a brown head with a nice, compact creamy slightly off-white head. Aroma was toasted malt, with notes of nuttiness. Flavor was sweet malts, a touch of toasted notes, and a bit of bitter and nut. Very refreshing on a very hot 90 degree day!

Mad Fox tap ($5.75): Pours a dark brown color with a beige head. Aroma is of saison yeast and fruitiness. Tastes I spotted were cherries (yes, the description was right), something akin to licorice, and yeast. Beer is a little sweet. Roasted or toasted hops don’t really appear too strongly in this. Overall, this was interesting, but I don’t really think it is something that I would want to get again.

Mad Fox cask ($5.75): Pours a black colour with a cascading head that tops off with a creamy head. Aroma is chocolatey and roasted malts. Way more chocolatey than I would have expected. Body is pretty full, by which I mean that this had a way fuller body than most other Dry Stouts. Also, this beer had a good amount of flavour throughout. Slightly sweet (definitely more on the sweet rather than the bitter side of dry stouts).
