(bottle) The name is program. A very flavoursome Dunkel. Dark red-copper coloured with a tanned head. Complex aroma of roasted malts, coffee and herbal hops with hints of resinous wood. Initially fine toasted malts rounded up with aromatic hops and a very dry & bitter (for a Dunkel), lasting aftertaste.

(bottle) Pale and cloudy straw colour with big fluffy white head. Very fruity (banana, citrus), hoppy and yeasty aroma. Light to medium bodied, mainly fruity flavour of bananas, oranges, well rounded up with a blend of soft malts, hops and wheat. The aftertaste is dry but a little bit too bitter for a Hefeweizen of my taste.

(bottle) Straw/golden colour with foamy lasting white head. Malty breadish aroma with herbal hops. Well balanced taste of grainy malts and spicy hops. Medium bodied, slightly sharp carbonated, crispy taste. The finish is dry, lightly bitter but also short.

Bottled. Black opaque colour, brown foamish head. Very stoutish nose, sweet malt and hints of barley. Sweet roasted malty taste with hints of bread. Breadish and a bit roasted aftertaste. A bit sticky mouthfeel.

Fully hazy amber-olive beer; head very fast gone. Bready nose, cloves, Friesian "nagelkaas" (cheese with cloves). Bready, heavy malt taste, cloves & phenolic, but all balanced and nice. Slick, wheaty-slick MF, nearly heavy bodied. Good Dunkelweizen. I wonder why the style isn’t more popular, compared to the blond versions.

Bottle: Poured a dark brown color beer with a brownish head with average retention. Aroma is dominated by roasted malts and lack the usual doppelbock banana feel. Taste is a bit deceiving with again the roasted side taking a lot of place and lacking the more sweet/banana and chocolate/coca feels in this beer. A bit disappointed and not even nears the greatness of the Ayinger.

A hazy light yellow beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma is sweet hoppy and the flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and a dry hoppy end.
