Scored this as an extra via trade. Let it be known, I am very skeptical of pumpkin beers. 12oz bottle pours a transparent orange, amber with a wispy white head that faded quick. Cold, the aroma was of raw pumpkin. Once it warmed up the spice came through the nose, nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, with a hint of alcohol. Flavor was sweet, caramel malts, caramel sugar, squash, spices. Finish is sticky. All in all, a pretty good pumpkin beer. Very drinkable.

bottle - Pours slightly hazy light amber with minimal head. The aroma is of yeast and malt with a touch of fruit and alcohol. There’s a sweet malt flavor with mild hops and yeast, a touch of spice, and some mild dryness. Pretty good.

bottle - Pours hazy light orange with a one finger, lingering head. It has a predominately citrus hop aroma with some malt in the background. The flavor is moderately hopped with citrus notes leading into a dry finish. It’s highly carbonated and struck me as rather thin. Decent brew.

Bottle. Poured an amber orange with a darkish off-white head. Aroma was full of pumpkin pie notes with lots of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger accompanying the pumpkin. Flavor mirrors the aroma beautifully. A nice medium mouthfeel makes this by far my favorite pumpkin beer.

12 oz bottle from Thiesti! Thanks Tim! Nose of slightly sweet caramel, vanilla, and yeastiness. Clear copper with a mediu, lightly lacing, cream colored head. Flavor is slightly sweet, slightly bitter, with lots of caramel. Finish lightly bitter.

16 oz draft at Waldo Pizza in Kansas City, Missouri. Served in a really nice Schlafly glass. Pour is clear orange golden copper with an off white head. Aroma of not too much, a bit of fruity malt, and a note od something chemical behind that. Taste starts with a slight chemical cherry sweetness, followed by floral and caramel malt. Palate is thin medium, light carbonation. Easy to drink, and nice enough.

bottle - Pours clear gold with a very thin white head. It has a light malt aroma. The flavor is light and sweet with a touch of hops and a touch of fruit character. It’s light bodied as expected for the style and finishes clean. Not bad.

750ml bottle 2007 bottle. Thick, opaque burgundy-brown color. Foamy, patchy head that fades out after a minute or two. An excellent Barlywine. Thick and rich, but truly smooth on the palate, exceptionally drinkable for a beer of it’s strength. Mellow oak flavor adds complex depth to the beer. Rather mild on the hops, they are certainly there, but once again, just add balance and depth. Excellent.

bottle - I drank this one side by side with a Saranac Oktoberfest for comparison. Pours an attractive clear amber color with a small white head. The aroma is mild caramel malt with maybe a hint of fruit. It has a sweet, clean caramel malt flavor with minimal hops and a medium body. The finish is lightly roasted malt. Pretty good, but the Saranac wins by a hair.

bottle - Pours cloudy straw colored with a thin white head. It has a mild yeasty aroma with hints of citrus and spice. The flavor is sweet and light, decent with not much going on in it. It’s light bodied and alright, but uninspiring.
