Purchased from the brewery, refridgerated then kept in a van for two days before being stored at room temperature for a month than refridgerated again for a month. Not a smart idea by any means! At any rate, this is a unique bomber that smells like bourbon & milk...two opposing aromas that in my opinion do not work out well. Taste is fantastic but sippable (meaning I can only take half sips), I’m getting peppermint, toffee, coffee, and chocolate. Very unique and great, but not something I could drink often.

Bottle. Clear amber body. Big, rocky off-white head, mostly diminishing. Malty aroma of caramel, toast and bread. Hint of honey. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly bitter with a tangy, toffee taste that lingers. Medium body, watery texture and medium carbonation. A solid Oktoberfest with its sweet, malty character, ending with a light bitterness and tang.

bottle, tanks beastiefan, pours a blood orange color with a thin white head. The aroma is wonderful. Pumpkin pie all the way, pumpkin, spice and cinnamon. Light body with a toasted malt character but the flavors are all pumpkin pie again. Lots of pumpkin, spice and sweetness. Lingering spice in the finish. I like this one.

12 oz bottle purchased as a single at Olive or Twist in Platte City, Missouri. Bottled with love on 02 04 2009. Pour is opaque black with a nice khaki head that builds up to three inches on some nice settling. Falls with a lot of crackling. Small amount of lace. Aroma of roasty malt, mild pine hops and a dusty earthiness. A touch of creamy licorice as well. Taste is more aggressive than I was expecting from the nose - big roast and licorice right away, followed by drying pine hops and more roasted malt. Finish is super dry, almost flinty. Palate is medium, bordering on thin, lowish carbonation. A decent enough take on a bigger stout.

Bottle. Slightly hazy pale gold body with a fizzy, white head, mostly diminishing. Nice bready malt aroma with hints of toasted grain, grass and lemon. The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter and a bit acidic. Dry. Medium body with a smooth texture that finishes between crisp and chewy because of the lively carbonation. Maybe a bit too sweet for a pilsner, but the balance of flavors is very good. A very enjoyable lager.

Bottle. Clear light golden body with a fizzy white head. Sweet, malty aroma with a hint of floral hops and honey. A bit of breadiness. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes much the same. Dry. Medium body with a watery texture that turns a bit sticky in the finish. Lively carbonation and despite that, the carbonation is not lively enough to wash down the slightly syrupy sweetness. A nice, easy drinking beer. It’s in the ballpark alcohol wise to be a session beer, but it’s a little too sweet and a little too sticky for the style.

75 cL bottle. Pours hazy dark orange with a small white head. Aroma is dry phenolic with a golden malt aroma. Flavour has the same in a subdued phenolic and yeasty flavoured. Dry malty and spiced finish.

courtesy of cartdan pours brown, beige head. aroma apple, yeasty, rancid fruits. taste was similar, apple, funky, not really anything that would fit the style.Some notes of dark fruits, with a lasting funky aftertaste. Not horrible but definitely something wrong with the beer.

Bottle shared by bu11zeye at the Stone Sourfest. Pours with a light brown hazy body and a tan head. Aroma of plastic, alcohol, dark fruits and raisins. Taste is alcohol, toffee, dark fruits and raisins. Plenty of burn. Medium carbonation.

750 bottle. Pours is fairly light. Almost a tarnished penny color. Head is medium to small, but there’s a bit of them that seem to be sticking around. Aromas are ok but a little boozy. There is a pretty good red grape, wine, raisin presence a bit of other fruit. Flavor has a HUGE wallop of alcohol, which is followed by lots of fruit and then some more abc warmth. Pretty good stuff, but I’m not sure this meets my expectations of a standard quad.
