16oz can pours a hazy caramel brown with some frothy, white head. Aroma makes it obvious... infection. Smells dusty, like an old couch and not much else. Flavor is sweet, malty, dusty, not too much happening. Watery finish. Way off.

16 oz can. Cloudy pale orange hue with a collapsing white head; leaves a little lace and a constant ring of foam. Aroma is peppery, clovey, floral. Taste is lightly sweet, savory and full of spices--clove is strong. The Belgian yeast used imparts most of the character in this brew; I’m not really sure what toasted poppy seeds even taste like--I suppose it’s a little nutty. Palate is a little thin, but this being a summer beer, that’s probably the brewer’s intention. Very, very tasty and well-crafted. I could see myself pounding down quite a few of these in the hot summer heat.

Keg at the euston tap. Clear Orange light amber. Spicy pepper aroma. Some pine needles in there as well. Flavour is medium sweetness. Good nutty malt. Spicy hop finish medium duration. Good caramel toffee notes as well. Not sure what the adjunct is, but it is a bit off putting.

16 oz can courtesy of bvc. The pour is slight haze brown copper golden with a small light tan head that falls quick. The aroma is lemon lime, green pepper, and the spice of coriander. The taste is initially a bunch of the lime flavor, moving into the coriander, and general yeastiness in the back. A mildly sweet nutty malt is present throughout. The lemon grass is all over the finish. Interesting flavors, decently integrated. Green apple comes out as it warms and detracts some from my enjoyment. The palate is medium bodied, softer carbonation, earth, vegetal, lemon grass in the finish. Fun beer, thanks Brandon.

Deep dark brown body with a very large, slightly soapy milky brown head, about six centimetres tall. Aroma of raisins, malt, prunes, nuts, earth and a bit of metal. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong roasted malt flavour with a lot of pit fruit and raisin sweetness, some metallic notes, a hint of milk and a little earthiness. Aftertaste shows a lot of peanuts, some earth, toffee, roasty bitterness and a little grapiness at the end. Overall, a fairly nice baltic porter, but perhaps a bit too much sweetness and not enough complexity throughout, with less of a focus on malt than others from the baltic region, like the gold standard: Zywiec. I sampled this 50 cL can purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 12-December-2012 for US$3.35 sampled at home in Washington on 17-February-2013.

16 oz can courtesy of bvc. The pour is a hazed golden orange, with a noisy two inch egg white head that falls loosely with spotty lacing. The aroma is straw, an herbal, round sweet floral, and a bit of a unique nuttiness. The taste starts big with the sweet floral, an unsweetened honey element, the straw from the nose, and then the nuttiness is present in the lingering finish. The herbal medicinal along with the sweet floral is the big part of the flavor profile here. As the beer warms, the floral sweet turns closer to sugar sweet, detracting a bit. The palate is medium bodied, a low, almost flat carbonation level, though this is balanced by the pleasant unfiltered mouth feel. This was a weird beer, though certainly unique. Thanks Brandon.
