Hazy golden color. I believed it to be more subtle red. Ok intensity in the aroma. Medium body and a fine fresh carbonation level. Mellow fine sweetness. Fruity, wheat, oranges and some yeast. Nice session able and very refreshing beer.

Cask pint in a local Wetherspoons on 31st Aug 2017. Sat outside in the afternoon sun, away from the smokers. Slight haze to the golden amber pour, deep smooth white blanket of foam on top. Some farmyard esters in the aroma, the taste was fruity and bitter, the finish fairly dry. Decent.

Cask at Prince Arthur, Fleet. Floral aroma with slightly offputting sour notes. Dark amber. Blotchy off-white head. Medium bitter and like the aroma there is a certain amount of sourness. Medium bodied. Slick. Flat carb. Long somewhat astringent finish. Not a winner. Is it usually this bitter or is it the cask?

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head, Smooth palate, modest fine carbonation. Soft dark malts, some tangy dark chocolate and tangy dark fruits. Smooth finish. Inoffensive but much like a thousand other stouts.

Copper colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have apple pips. Strange sweetness. Maybe some fruity sweetness.

Taste comprises milk chocolate, lactic nip, hint of sour fruit, light roast, pinch of spice. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close. Not blowing me away but an adequate sweet stout.

Bottle from Inn At Home, Guildford. Yeasty aroma as expected, with an acidic citrus element. An opaque orange amber. Frothy white head soon calmed down to thin covering. As per the aroma, the taste has what I’d expect from a wheat with banana and cloves, however the blood orange then takes over. From a restrained sweet with a sour edge to all sour (although never more than medium). An odd chemical aftertaste. Medium bodied. Soft, although the carbonation has a fizz. Abrupt finish, other than the chemical citrus aftertaste. Overall pretty good. A but lightweight and let down by the previously mentioned aftertaste.
