About
The brewery was founded in 1988 by the couple Pierre-Alex Carlier and Marie-Robert Pourtois. On March 24, the first brew was brewed that was named La Moneuse. A 7 hl brewing installation was custom-made by Meura. In 1992, investments were made in a bottling line. The eldest son Kevin Carlier now heads the brewery, along with his wife Bérangère Deschamps and his father-in-law Claude Deschamps.

375ml bottle - Pours a hazy pale yellow colour with a large frothy white head that diminished. The aroma is spicy, straw, citric and yeasty. A moderately sweet, yeasty and spicy taste, yeasty eaters, straw, peach and lemon peel flavours with a drying bitter finish.

Bottle. Color: Slightly hazy amber, off- white head. Aroma: Malty, spicy, Saison yeast, fruity hints. Taste: Malt, spicy, yeasty, fruity notes of candied (orange) fruit and some dried stone fruit. Some caramel and candy-sugar. Over moderate sweet, light to moderate bitter. Just over medium body, just below average carbonation. Nice Belgian winter / Christmas Ale.

Bottle, date unclear. Misted gold with a fluffy inch of white head. Aroma of very slightly funky crackery dough, some nectarine, oldish grapefruit.Just medium bodied, quite fizzy. Dryish with lean crackery pale malt, Riesling, hints of stone fruit and hayish funk, a mixture of preserved citrus peel and zest at the bitter finish. Spices creep in very gradually.`A second glass is softer and not so pretty.

Bottle drunk with Schollenfilet. Clear gold, small fast disappearing head. Slightly sweet nose with fruity hints. Tart flavor, mild sourness with a complex backbone of light caramel and yeasty esters. Excellent with the breaded Scholle!

Syrup sweet start of grapes and maple syrup, grass malts, dry hay, a vague hint of booze. Mushy carbonation. Pleasant enough but I'm not wowed.

Draught @ Mig & Ølsnedkeren. Pours hazy yellow with a white head, lacings. Aroma of malt, yeast, saison yeast, hay, herbal, pepper, mild citrus. Flavor is light sweet, lightly bitter, malt, yeasty, saison yeast, hay, banana, herbal notes, pepper, light citrus. Medium body, average carbonation, dry finish. Not to keen on the banana notes. 070922

bottiglia 375 ml, schiuma super abbondante bianca fine persistente, colore giallo smorto velato, al naso è intensa classico aroma Saison scorza d’arancia spezie pepe cereali leggero Funky, in bocca è speziata frutta gialla coriandolo e pepe con un finale di limone, corpo medio, carbonazione forte, dolce con amaro moderato, media secchezza nel finale. Più aromatica e fruttata della sorella. Ben strutturata. Un Saison di qualità superiore. Ottima c. Cantina della birra 20.08.22
