Like someone poured liquid chocolate in beer. Nice in a way, but also a bit too sweat and like chocolate milk.

Nice stout, with some roasted coffee and cacao notes and slight bitterness. Not very imperial though, more a double stout.

Original beer. Body of brown malt and what seams like Vlaams oud Rood/Bruin. Has a nice sour twist of wild yeast. Very good.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Not sure if this is any different from the old Lentebier or perhaps even the Saison. Anyway, hazy golden orange colour, white head. Aroma of dusty malts, wheat, pale malts, hay, yeast, fruits. Flavour is medium-sweet, some candy, yeast, dust, hay, orange, dry, light-bitter finish. Light-bodied. Nice, albeit a bit sweet.

Brown ale, with some earthy hopping. Quite malty as well, with some modest bitterness and even a bit sourness.

Bottle courtesy of and shared with Deanso. Poured a deep mahogany with a frothy tan head. The aroma is light roasted malt. The flavour is medium bitter with a rich fruity vinous alcohol bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Didn’t get the "spice" at all I’m afraid.

Tap at Arendsnest. Pours reddish brown, mahagony with a small head. Aroma is sweet, cow candy ("lehmakomm"), caramel - but also fruity. Light floral hops. Taste is slightly bitter at first, then goes over into deep fruitiness. Aftertaste is dry, full of tannins. I liked it.
