Keg at Route CBC, CBC Clapham, 02/10/15. Hazed orange resembling a peach smoothie with a well appointed light beige covering. Nose is rather thin, grassy, very restrained peach, bread, grain. Taste comprises gentle peach notes - a step up from the aroma, faint citric flesh, melon, grassy, straw, soft stoned fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Bit of a damp squib this, plenty of low boost hot goldes out there that are a fraction of the cost and deliver way more. ENGERLAND ENGERLAND ENGERLAND !!!

Tap at Route CBC. It pours murky amber with a medium white head. The nose is sweet, varnish, pine needles, wholemeal bread, light toffee and orange. The taste is toasty, bitter-sweet, touch of paper, alcohol, pine needles, grapefruit, malty backbone and grass. Medium body and moderate carbonation. It definitely errs towards being too sweet. A bit of a disappointment in comparison to their sour beers.

Tap at Route CBC. It pours cloudy gold with a thick white head. The nose is soft, sweet-sour, cream soda, funk and strawberry lemon. The taste is crisp, tart, lemon sherbet, sour green apple, strawberry, juicy raspberry and some acidity with a dry finish. Light -medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Not particularly complex, but it is tasty and rather drinkable. Nice one.

Keg at Craft Beer Co. Clapham - London, during Route CBC. Pours extremely murky orange-tan with a heavy, frothy beige head; the beer looks like a root beer float - it’s not pretty. Piney, earthy and grainy on the nose, with some rindy orange accents. Big sweet flavor, boozy, with some minerals, wood, pine, grass, earth. Full bodied, chewy, with average carbonation. Resinous finish with hard bitter earth, more grainy and lightly toasted malts, oily pine. Pretty heavy stuff overall, and just not that drinkable.

Keg at Craft Beer Co. Clapham - London, during Route CBC. Pours clear, radioactive purple-pink with a creamy, white head. Rich, fresh tart berry aroma, with some passion fruit notes. Light sweet flavor, bracingly acidic, drying, with tart berries and lemon juice. Light bodied with average, spritzy carbonation. Tart on the finish with blistering acidity, some cereal notes, melon, dragonfruit, cherry. Not bad, but the cereal/grain notes in the finish and aftertaste are a little off-putting. Overall, though, tasty and rather enjoyable.

Keg at Craft Beer Co. Clapham - London, during Route CBC. Pours unclear gold with a creamy white head. The nose holds doughy bread, light citrus notes, pale grains. Medium sweet flavor with pale bread, lemon meringue, tangerine. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with muted citrus notes and more doughy bread. Pretty so so.

Tap at Route CBC. It looks pretty dirty - murky root-beer brown with a thick yellow-beige head. The nose is bitter-sweet, piney, varnish, toffee, nectarine, peach, stewed orange and such like. The taste is bitter-sweet, pine, varnish, peppery hops, brioche, toffee, grapefruit, mango, creaminess, resin and some chewy malt back-bone with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. An ugly, yet decent old-school malty double-IPA.

Tap at Route CBC. It pours hazy golden-orange with a medium white head. Then nose is soft, sweet, quite subdued, peach cobbler, cheesecake and fruit pie. The taste is sweet, creamy, sweet peach, cheesecake, peach cobbler, peaches & cream, earth and a touch of paper. Medium body and fine carbonation. I like the idea, but it is just too sweet and creamy. So-so.

Tap at route CBC. It pours crazy bright pink-red with a small pink-white head. The nose is soft, fruity, definite dragon fruit, cherryade, jammy fruits, jam tart, tropical fruit punch and passion fruit. The taste is crisp, tart, juicy, bursting with fruit, dragon fruit, earth, cherryade, some acidity, tangfastics, sour cherry, jam tart, passion fruit and blackcurrant cordial with a dry, tangy finish. Light body, fine carbonation and slightly sticky mouth-feel. Very juicy and fruity. Tasty.
