GABF 2015. Deep brown / black appearance with a dark brown head. A little syrupy, slight cough syrup, gooey. Lightly twangy, some dark fruit. Chocolate and caramel. A little burnt sugar. Better than an average brewpub stout but not by much.

GABF 2015. A couple of pours. Hazy yellow appearance with a white head. Dank passion fruit. Tons of guava and tropical fruit. Starfruit. Some spice. Spritzy. Drinks super easy. It’ll be nice when this stuff is available in six packs for $10 someday.

GABF 2015. Cloudy yellow appearance with an off white head. Heavy banana and phenols. Vanilla and coconut. Moderately sweet. A little doughy. It’s above average for the style but the yeast they use is awfully aggressive with the phenols and esters.

GABF 2015. Multiple pours for JW. Dark brown / black appearance. Burnt / smoky throughout with some chocolate and char. Quite burnt with a little molasses. I didn’t enjoy this one nearly as much as some.

Tap. Craft Beer Co, Clapham. 2nd October. Hazy bronze. Film of white head. Rich, spicy malts. Musky orange and mandarin. Fairly resinous. Taste is rich, spicy, chewy bitter. Smooth, and oily. Long, resinous bitter finish. Bit on the rough and ready side of things, but I did enjoy this.

Keg at Craft Beer Co. Clapham - London, during Route CBC. Pours cloudy, pale yellow with a creamy, white head. Tangy, true lemonade aroma, really; there’s not much else there. Light sweet flavor with strong citric, lemony twang, biting acidity. Light bodied with average, spritzy carbonation. Tart finish with dominant lemon juice character, touches of sugary cereal, hay, biscuits. Nice overall.

Keg at Craft Beer Co. Clapham - London, during Route CBC. Pours clear, dark gold with a foamy, white head. The nose holds toasted grains, pine, light caramel. Medium sweet flavor with rich, bready malts, dry piney bitterness, maybe some rindy orange. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly resinous on the finish with notes of grainy bread, light oily pine, moderate bitterness. Pretty so so overall.
