Description
With the creation of Village brewery De Meester we want to re-establish the tradition of artisan brewing in Kuurne. Our beers are brewed solely according to the traditional brewing processes, with the greatest care and only with natural raw materials. For our beers, we use hop flowers from Poperinge exclusively and refrain for using nor colour pigments, nor foam improvers, nor artificial seasonings. The result of this traditional work methods are the beers of Village brewery De Meester. Beers with character, interwoven with aromas from the different local hops.

7/XII/24 - 33cl bottle @ the Big Bottles Tasting / Proevertjesdag (Oudenburg), BB: VIII/2029, P120 (2024-1269) Thanks to Bart for sharing the bottle!

Clear pale blond beer, small irregular off-white head, unstable, a little adhesive. Aroma: very herbal, cloves, spicy, earthy, very yeasty. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very yeasty, lots of banana, sugary, a bit dirty and unpleasant. Aftertaste: more yeasty, sugary, alcohol, very yeasty, quite some band-aid. This experiment did not go well.

Bottle, 7.5% as Meester Blond - Belgian style IPA. Fruity aroma with clove and fresh Belgian yeast. Clear dark golden colour. Big stable rocky white head. The flavour is sweetish and fruity with a hint of clove and a mild alcohol warmth. Medium bitterness, but a bit astringent.

Bottle. Clear mahogany with tan head. Looks good. Licorice, overripe fruits, raisins, roasted malts, bitter dead leaves and tree bark, leather, tobacco, pecans, sugary, alcohol. Solid sweet but also quite bitter. Medium bodied with a bit creamy feel and boozy finish. Not horrible but not the best quad.
