Bottle from SH Jones,Bicester, Saturday 7th December 2013 consumed the same day at Carol & Haydn’s party It was quite dark when I was drinking this so I cannot be certain of the colour, however it might of looked a reddy/dark amber. Aroma is predominantly fresh raspberries but there is a very pronounced nod to lambic here. In fact I passed this onto two friends who have been to Belgium with Loz and myself quite a few times, when I passed it to them I said nothing but they both said very similar things and both believed they were drinking a Belgian fruit Lambic. This is tart in the mouth, hugely refreshing, would be great in the summer, zappy raspberries and a wonderful sourness. Dry on the finish, this is lovely and quite an unexpected hit, I thought it would be good as Compass have done sone good beers of late but this is very, very good. I shall definately be off to SH Jones again soon for some more of these, I had Beavertown 8 Ball and a Partizan beer however this was easily the best of the night. I believe that this was a SIBA gold medal winner in some recent awards event and rightly so it is fully justified. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov17 4.0

Bottled@SBWF2013. Deep amber colour, small white head. Aroma is grass, fruits, wood, some toffee and mild yeastiness. Flavour is fruity, floral, toasted and slightly wooden. Also some mild herbal notes towards the finish. A bit thin in the palate (especially for being 7 %). As it got to warm up there were also some slight sulphury notes.

Bottled@SBWF2013. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is big time diacetyl, some slight fruity and floral notes along with some ripe fruits too. Flavour is big time diacetyl, some slight floral and fruity notes along with mild crisp maltiness to it. Too bad the diacetyl is all over the beer. Probably not intentional.
